the pieces that formed this set of images are from a video installation i did for GEOBIOTIC with the
equipment bill harrington gave us.  also pictured is the large five panels of the tree piece that nicanor
painted, and photos / art pieces for the same 13 moon series event, zero-point's 'full art experience'.

mike the poet is in one of the shots.  he is a teacher and a humble angelic street poet and a most
shazam! kind of knower of the truth, and he is always gathering stories of this los angeles we inhabit.
he breathes the air of it most deeply.  he became the spokesoul for zero-point really, he shaped each of
the 13 moon series, and educated me and all the people about the area's immense jazz history, and
general history of people in these many neighborhoods.  most people hadn't been there before to see
experimental art.  i had just read central avenue sounds and that was a huge interest for him in this
south of downtown south central los angeles area.  the history here is remarkable, for so many reasons,
and so with this knowledge of where we sat in the history of the music of central avenue was notable,
exciting. so i offer most humble and exuberant thanx to all the people who played music in the space we
came to call zero-point, as well as deep thanx to the musicians who created the history of central
avenue.

when killsonic paraded down the street with all the people from our warehousewarming, for our first of
the full-art experiences, it was an epic moment for me to realize what i had been able to coordinate, and
i was awed at the accomplishment which was the product of so many people's hard and devoted and
continuous work.  and that overwhelming warm and beautiful feeling was stretched out and grew the
most beautiful side projects and events...culminating with maps and locations 7th of the 13 moon series
and those connections, from il corral on to post zero-point now curating continue to grow

now..it is a nice time to collect my thoughts, which have been on saving our little sub-avant-garde world
day by day, it is nice to no longer be such a 'valuable' person,  feeling the stress of being an
irreplaceable part of a large diy circulatory system.  i enjoy monthly curating, or special events...i am
glad to still be bringing people together who i love individually and who together make a night to
remember!  an event! the social contract to suspend disbelief and be part of the art.  i believe that this
is a very political and meta.physical act.

i feel like no other experience i may have can be as particularly amazingly crazy as what we have been
able to do. (and we is a lot of people)...and i am proud,  not because i am a significant person, but
because i didn't give up!  but most importantly there was almost always someone there to remind me of
what i was doing, and even to help sweep or watch the door for awhile...simple things that are so very
important!  and the teaching i found in the concept of zero-point - to be of the ether, made the transition
out and into curating in other spaces all the more natural and even celebratory.
i didn't put particular people on the thanx page, it seemed impossible, and i am very sensitive to
people, so because there are so many people who already know who they are, my thanx is general,
open, embracing and all-encompassing. a big hug.

even random people met on tour who bought one of the proto FIRE PETAL IN THE SKY homemade
copies and now want the final full release, they are a huge presence in the life of the pieces.  so many
people had influence in this.

my whole concept of music art performance film puppetry, all of it became so finely honed through the
experience of so many artists in such an intense time.  my everyday has been shaped by crowds,
communities, and i have been honored to create and sustain the meeting place.  i am just going to say
thanx immense to those of the core.  without you nothing...and i am actively grateful and practice
mindful thoughts...
thanx immense to steve {loveearthmusic} for continually asking for us to finish the album,
over years! and thanx also for going all the way all the time to support our endeavors,
through all the trial and triumph! without you i don't think we could've done it!
thanx *** love & ruckus
